Alvin L. Mayall, 86, of DeWitt, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006.
He was born March 12, 1920, on Woolverton Mountain, a son of Arthur E. Mayall and Maye (Halbrook) Mayall. He was a Baptist minister who pastored many years and a member of Center Ridge Masonic Lodge No. 478 for more than 50 years.
Survivors include five sons, Lynn Mayall and Randy Mayall, both of Mayflower, Larry Mayall of Memphis, Tenn., Karl Mayall of Palm Desert, Calif., and Kevin Mayall of Hot Springs Village; one daughter, Finele Matzner of New York City; two brothers, Frank Mayall of Morrilton and Shirrell Mayall of Bryant; three sisters, Polly M. Edwards of Lockesburg, Cathy Raines of Morrilton, and Wanda Marcum of Byhalia, Miss.; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were 10 a.m. Saturday at Harris Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Clark officiating. Burial was at Halbrook Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton
Pallbearers were R.D. Edwards, Charlie Cox, Bruce Mannis, Elvis Mannis, Buddy Dillion and Mark Watson.
