Freddie L. Stubblefield, age 83, of Conway, formerly of Morrilton, passed away Friday, Oct. 30, 2009.
She was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Cleveland, Ark., a daughter of the late Charlie Green Brents and Mary Elizabeth Crow Brents. She was the widow of Ray Earl Stubblefield, to whom she was married for 61 years. She was retired from Blue Ribbon Shoes, a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Eastern Star in Morrilton. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Powell and husband Bill and Becky Huett and husband Tommy, all of Conway; five granddaughters, Christy Hockaday and husband Chris, Cindy Ledbetter and husbnd Michael, Cathy Shourd and husband Jon, Elizabeth and Katy Huett; four great-granddaughters, Megan and Rachel Ledbetter and Abby and Haley Shourd; and one sister, Nita Forsyth and husband Harold. Funeral services were 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Calvery Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Tilley and the Rev. Johnnie Hoffman officiating. Burial was at Pleasant Grove Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Pallbearers were Bill Powell, Chris Hockaday, Michael Ledbetter, Tommy Huett, Jon Shourd and Hal Forsyth. Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.
